Shaw's: Kraft Spend $25, Get $25 Back Deal Starting 8/7

UPDATED 8/9 with more coupon matches and deal info! If you've worked this deal, please leave a comment and let us know how you did! The overall consensus is to not work the rebate deal on presale (PSP) prices. You need to have at least a $25 spend in order for the rebate to spit out at the register. And you will need the "original store-identified receipt" in order to get your rebate.

I worked the rebate deal today and it was simple enough. I had a lot of coupons so I'll probably end up making about $10 on the deal which is great. And I used my CAT coupons from last week's Unilever CAT promotion. I got my $5 CAT coupon so I'll probably roll it into one more Kraft deal before the sale ends.

A really great Kraft deal is running at Shaw's August 7 through August 23. Buy $25 worth of Kraft products in one single transaction and you'll get a $5 CAT coupon good on your next shopping trip PLUS you can submit your receipt for a $20 rebate (rebate form will print at the register). So that's $25 worth of free groceries right there! And, you should be able to use coupons with this promotion, so this deal can easily turn into a great money maker! You can check out all the details here, including the list of participating Kraft products.

Note that because this is a mail-in-rebate, the $25 spend will be on shelf prices and not pre-sale prices. That only makes sense to me. However, I understand any coupons you use will not be discounted from the $25 spend. I can't see how they can know for sure which coupon went toward which product.

Here are the Kraft products Shaw's will have on sale:

California Kitchen Pizza, 2/$9; use $1.00/1 from 8/2 Smart Source or $1/1 here
DiGiornio Pizza, $5.99
Kraft Shredded Cheese, 2/$4; use Kraft, 2% Milk Shredded Cheese $1 off Print (this coupon says it is a Publix coupon - I'll try and use it anyway)

Velveeta or Easy Mac Cups, 10/$10; use $1 off 2 Printable or BOGO Velveeta cups from 8/9 Smart Source insert

Nabisco Snack Crackers or Toasted Chips, 2/$5
Mac & Cheese Dinners, 4/$3; use B3G1 Free Print

Capri Sun or Roarin' Waters 10-packs, 4/$8.88 ($2.22 each)

I have a question, will Shaw's be calculating the total shelf (pre sale price) or the sale price?

My hope would be the pre sale price! Cha Ching, I can hear my savings now... Mailman bring me my rebate check!

BTW, Michelle have I mentioned yet your blog is AWESOME! Jammed packed with money saving deals for this frugal Mom... LOVE THIS BLOG!

My understanding is because this is a mail in rebate, the spend will be calculated based on shelf price, not presale price. They'll be looking at the actual amount you spend. Shouldn't count coupons, though so you can get extra savings there.

What a great way to spend our cats from this week, huh?!! I just posted 2 scenarios using the Red Plum coupons and coupons from past papers. Both come to $19 and some change so they come out to be money makers. But even with no money making involved, what a great deal!

if i use my cats from last week and they see a few cents for a total do you think i would still get the rebate or do you think it would be wiser just to pay cash

do you think its ok to pay with cats from last week or safer to pay cash

Thanks so much for compiling this information! I plan to shop Tuesday. My question is, I got the same Shaw's flyer, and some of the sale items they featured didn't appear on the official "shopping list" available on the Kraft website. How do I know which items qualify?

Michelle - I do not think A1 is included in the promotion, it is not listed on the Kraft site even though Shaws shows it in their flyer.

I am definitely using my leftover CATS on this deal. But I'll have other groceries to buy this week anyway.

I included a link to Kraft with all the details and participating products so I would go by that list. All the Kraft products on the back page of my circular appeared to also be included in the Kraft list.

Hi Michelle!
I used the Shaw's ad stuff and my rebate form printed. I wound up getting 29 worth of Kraft stuff plus about another 60 in produce and other stuff that we needed. After coupons, I paid with $31 in the Unilever CATs and $26.78 to my debit card. The machine spat out $5 off my next order and another $1 for buying 2 California Pizza Oven pizzas. I am exhausted from all of this bargain shopping.

You'd better rest up, because there is a General Mills/Box Top CAT deal on tap at Shaw's for next week! Save your insert from today's paper!

TOO FUNNY! I was LOL with your Target post - we may all need Depends if the bargains keep up!!!
I may have to hit the Shaw's while I am on vacation.
I forgot in my post that I also sent in for the $20 rebate...
I would see a shrink for my coupon addiction, but my copays would cost me more than my OOP at the stores!!!
Have a great weekend and thanks for all of your advice!

I don't know if this is working for anyone else, but when I did the Kraft deal yesterday, I bought 2 California pizzas & 2 Jello (happened to have coupons for both). When I got the CAT deals, I also got a $2 off my next purchase courtesy of Cali Pizza & $1 off my next purchase courtesy of jello. So it ended up being $28 back plus the $4.50 in coupons I had!

I spent $26 in sale prices, reduced down to $4 oop paying with CATs and coupons. I got the $5 Kraft CAT but no rebate form printed (huh?) When I called Catalina they said that this rebate is only good for $25 spent AFTER coupons. It will be interesting to see in a few weeks whether people are getting their rebates who paid with coupons and CATS....makes no sense that the $5 CAT and rebate form would print but then Kraft would deny the rebate.

I have a question....I spent over $30 on Kraft things. I got my $5 CAT, but no rebate form. Who do I talk to about that. I have my receipt. Do I go to the grocery store to do I have to call someone at Kraft?

TIA!
